The Germano Chincherini Foundation donates recreational equipment for the “Germano Chincherini” playground in Letojanni (Messina, Italy) to be completed

The Germano Chincherini Foundation, which is always concerned for community’s and children’s needs, donated to the municipality of Letojanni the playground equipment necessary for the “Germano Chincherini” public playground in Letojanni (Messina, Italy) to be completed.

Mayor Alessandro Costa and the whole local council participated in the inauguration ceremony, along with the head of the Sicilian branch of the Foundation, Antonio Riccobene, and the buyer of Parc Hotels Italia Sicilia, Sebastiano Sciacca. The municipality of Letojanni contributed to the building of the playground, especially with regard to the walls, the wooden fence which encloses the playground, the safety flooring and video surveillance system.

The new playground equipment adds to the equipment that was already there, on a surface of 450 sq. m. ca. Here’s the playground tools that were donated:

• a playground area provided with a tower, two plastic slides, a swing with two seats;
two horse spring riders;
• one merry-go-round.

A flooring made of soft plastic tiles was also laid on the whole surface of the playground, in order to cushion the possible fall of the children playing there.
