COLLABORATION WITH THE PEDIATRIC CARDIAC SURGERY DEPARTMENT IN TAORMINA

After some months spent reaching a deal and making the necessary arrangements, the agreement between the Germano Chincherini Foundation and this hospital department, which is the reference point for Southern Italy, has been officially in place since June. The department is engaged in congenital heart conditions, operating on kids before they are born. The little patients' parents have often a hard time finding accommodation at an affordable price, and sleep in their car or in hospital corridors. In order to avoid this unfortunate situation, we allocated six studio flats in Letojanni to little patients' families, who will be accommodated with the help of hospital department staff and aid workers from "La Misericordia di Letojanni" (Letojanni's Mercy) association.
